How are you doing with those New Years’ Resolutions? Lost any weight? Done any de-cluttering or re-organizing? Let Sharp Dressed Man (Baltimore’s recycled suit non-profit) help kick-start your year into a new gear by getting a jump on cleaning out your closet!
Our organization fits men in Baltimore who have experienced incarceration, homelessness, or other life challenges with recycled suits for job interviews. We’ve been around for five years, and 2016 is our year to grow our program and expand programming.
[Tweet “Our goal is to suit over 1,000 men in #Baltimore with recycled suits, and we need your help!”]
We need quality, gently used men’s business clothing. Think of what you might give to a younger brother or cousin heading out to his first internship or job interview. Suits, jackets, pants, dress shoes, ties, shirts, and belts, especially in larger sizes, are in incredible demand!
As you work to drop a few pants sizes or declutter your belongings, please consider donating your clothing to our organization. Belong to a professional organization, or know a lot of guys with suits? You can hold a suit drive!
Until this year, we’ve been entirely volunteer-based – our volunteers are what makes Sharp Dressed Man tick! We are in need of a few good men and women to tackle a number of tasks. How can you help?
We are actively seeking interns and young professionals interested in the fashion industry and making a difference in Baltimore City.
Our founders are Christopher and Seth Schafer of Christopher Schafer Clothier in Harbor East.
Please watch our video and consider a donation to help keep our organization moving forward.
Studies show that we have seven seconds to make a first impression. Our suit program helps improve first impressions in the Baltimore region, helping men get back on their feet to live a better life.
